The Starry Night 

In this starry night, 
Where in solitude I walk, 
Seeing the glittering stars, 
And the moon shining bright

The cold breeze blew, 
And the trees danced, 
Joyous as I was, on seeing this 
My soul, my body stood entranced 

The nightingale sang, 
In the quiet of the night, 
Spreading a musical sweetness, 
And reciting the wordless poem of life 

I walked and walked 
But little thought of time, 
How dear the night was, 
And yet how fast...
