    1. I think both the houses have their own traits which different people relate to.
I for one would say they can't really be compared like that.
I mean sure Slytherin has all the 'Big Bads' in the series but still, most Gryffindors are kinda stuck up and proud.
They each have their pro's and cons

    2. @celia_fell_in_love_with_hope, first of all thank you so much for commenting and following us! we really appreciate it! second of all, i agree with you! i just feel even though he was just this boy living in his parent's shadow, having to obey them and voldermort, and i understand why people feel bad for him but personally i think he was a bit of a jerk at the start of the series....what do the rest of you think?

    3. @cactusevergreen7, I understand where you're coming from but Draco was taught from an extremely young age that showing any emotions were a sign of weakness and it was either eat or be eaten.
He was given no choice and was forced to join the Death Eaters.
I agree he was kind of a jerk at the start but Harry didn't have to be so mean about not wanting to be friends with him. Sure, Year 1 Draco gravely needed an ego check, but what he said to Harry about the Weasleys was just what he'd been told.

Still, with all that said, weighing both sides of this debate, I do believe that Draco is an extremely interesting and important character because of whom we got so many interesting twists in the story and while for some of his actions he may just deserve some hate, he's definitely not all bad.

    4. @the Foodie Bookworm, I agree that Draco is not all bad, only that he was fed a lot of biased and unbalanced opinions through his father (although not necessarily his mother as in all scenes with BOTH his parents his father has certainly been more domineering). Although, I never really thought about Harry's potential involvement in the growth of Draco's character, particularly in your point about Harry's refusal to be friends. I think Harry could definitely have helped Draco break away from his father's influence and ideas and understand more of other people's opinions, had they become friends, but it is just as likely that they would have went their separate ways as Draco's idea of humour later in the series was quite cruel, and his chosen Slytherin friends were decidedly the opposite of Harry, i.e Goyle, Crabbe, Pansy Parkinson. At the end of it, however, I believe Draco is a character with potential to be good, but has had the bad fortune to grow up with people who have misguided views on Muggle-borns, werewolves etc. and those ideas have been passed on to him. He is definitely a much better character in The Cursed Child, but I won't mention certain parts for fear of spoiler alerts :)

    1. Yes, probably, as then you can change a lot of rules about how you administer magic, and it would probably be fun!

    2. I think I would rather be some sort of activist in the Harry Potter world, but still be somewhat involved in the Ministry!

    3. I absolutely would. Maybe as an Auror or some sort of Wizard Detective if they have those.

    4. i have no idea if i would or not....i think depends on the department and of course the minister of magic. if i had to sit in the same building as umbridge, no way...but if i had to choose, the ministry wouldn't be my first option, i thought charlie's job in romania with dragons sounded so cool so i think i would rather do that.

    5. I would probably want to work as a healer in St. Mungo's (if that is MOM) or maybe the department of mysteries as it sounds really... mysterious? 😂 Although I completely agree, if I had to sit in the same room as Umbridge, or the same elevator, I would probably quit there and then 😅
P.S This is Sophie from the chat I can't use my Gmail ;)
